Beginning of 2014, Arne Hillerns, from the NGO Make Life Skate Life, contacted us to ask a support by spreading the call for volunteers in South America, for the diy project building the "Skatepark de Purapura", in La Paz, Bolivia. This is how participants joined from Peru, Equador, Colombia, Venezuela, Brazil and Argentina, as a consistent Southamerican delegation.
The building of the skatepark has been largely commented in the skateboarding media. More than 100 volunteers from all around the world joined and helped building what ends up being one of the biggest diys ever built. We publish here some shots taken during the 4 weeks of the construction and some videos made by sponsors and participants.
We whish to thank Arne Hillerns from Make Life Skate Life, Max and Robin of Yamato Living Ramps, Milton Arrellano from the 'Asociación de Skate de La Paz' and all the people who made this wonderful project happen.
